International stars, ecstatic fans and film buffs, oh my! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the incredible films. February 6 – February 16, 2014, the International Film Festival is held in Berlin, Germany. Nicknamed “Berlinale”, this is the world’s largest film festival that is open to the public.
Round Trip New York City ⇄ Berlin, Germany (February 10 – February 17) starting from just $882 (flight details: https://www.travelpapa.com/y/14)
About 400 films are shown at the festival each year and everyone is invited! Tickets are available for anyone who is a fan of major international productions, along with independent and experimental films (save us a seat!). The films are known to be inspirational and touching and they all compete for the Golden Bear… just think of it as the gold metal of the filmmaking Olympics.
The films are shown in multiple cinemas but are centered at Potsdamer Platz but also include the world’s largest stage at the Friedrichstadt-Palast, the Haus der Kulteren der Welt and the Haus der Berliner Festspiele (you guys had as much fun with the pronounciation as we did?) This will be the 64th Berlin International Film Festival (you know what they say… 64th is the lucky number).
Another plus is that the festival is centered in an exciting, cosmopolitan hub that attracts artists from all around the world. In the middle of it all, the Berlinale is being held; a cultural event where filmmakers and filmmakers can unite once and for all! And you don’t even have to take our word for it. As the most attended film festival worldwide, you can just take a couple hundred thousand peoples word for it.
