The European Fine Art Fair (or if you don’t have the time, just say TEFAF) is a ten day art convention held in Maastricht, Netherlands annually since 1988.
Round trip from New York ⇄ Maastricht, Netherlands (March 14th-March 23rd) starting at only $1,039 (flight details: https://www.travelpapa.com/y/1u)
Attracting an average of about 70,000 wine sippers each year, TEFAF Maastricht is known as the world’s leading art fair and is a must-see for all art collectors and fanatics. The fair, taking place from March 14th to March 23rd (daily from 11 AM to 7 PM), represents 275 of the world’s leading galleries from over 20 countries.
It is a showcase of the best works of art on the market; antique works of art make an appearance but modern/contemporary art are also starting to show up more often. A whole variety of cultural events and special activities take place during TEFAF. Concerts, lectures and exhibitions are included (that’s how you stay informed and entertained).
During the week of the exhibition, the city of Maastricht will be flled with theatre and music productions and performances and is a great opportunity to get a deeper understanding of the unique Dutch “flavor”.
A rather new addition to the event will be daily Art Talks, where experts will be discussing current topics of the art market with fellow enthusiasts. So brush up on your art knowledge and make a quick decision: red wine or white?
